For Shopify merchants who are done guessing

Your profit, reconciled to the penny.

Profit trackers estimate. PennyProfit ties your net profit to what actually hit your bank — every payout, every fee, every refund. To the cent, or an itemized map of why not.

Where your money goes

Every $100 of revenue, traced to its destination.

Most dashboards show you the left side of this picture and guess the rest. PennyProfit follows each dollar through fees, refunds and costs until the remainder matches your bank — exactly.

Revenue $100.00 Processing fees −$3.40 · verified Refunds −$4.10 · verified Cost of goods −$38.50 · declared Ad spend −$21.40 · declared Net profit $32.60 ✓
“Verified” lines tie to Shopify's payout ledger. “Declared” lines are yours — and always labelled as such. Honest labels are the product.

The uncomfortable slider

What are you actually keeping?

Drag your numbers in. No email gate, no fantasy math — processing fees at 2.9% + 30¢ on a $65 average order, and everything else exactly as you set it.

A different species of tool

Estimates are a feeling. A reconciliation is a fact.

Typical profit trackers read a pixel, model the rest, and hope. PennyProfit anchors to the one number that can't lie: what Shopify deposited in your bank.

Question
Typical profit trackers
PennyProfit
Where do the numbers come from?
Browser pixels + UTM guesses, stitched into an estimate
Server-side payouts & balance transactions — Shopify's own ledger
Do they tie to your bank deposits?
“Close enough” — usually a few percent off, silently
To the cent — a timestamped seal on every payout
When numbers disagree?
A shrug. You get to play forensic accountant
Itemized variance: exact line, exact order, plain English
When an ad import breaks?
Silently partial data — profit quietly overstated
Flagged in amber, dated, never hidden
What can't be verified?
Estimated anyway, presented as fact
Labelled “unverifiable” — honestly. That's the whole point
What happens to the price as you grow?
GMV tiers — your success raises your bill
Flat. Founding merchants locked for life

A true kind of story

$42.17

The fee that was charged once and booked twice.

A payout lands. The tracker's number and the bank's number disagree by $42.17. Most tools would bury that inside “estimated profit” and you'd carry a wrong number into every decision — pricing, ad budgets, taxes — forever.

PennyProfit diffs every balance-transaction line against its own ledger, finds the one that doesn't match, and tells you in one sentence: a PayPal fee on order #1043 was logged twice.

Not a mystery number. A line item, with a name.

Payout · Jun 24 (sample)Peak & Pine Outfitters
Gross captures · 96 orders$8,412.90
Refunds matched−$310.45
Shopify Payments fees−$243.98
PayPal fee · order #1043−$42.17
PayPal fee · order #1043duplicate−$42.17
Expected deposit$7,774.13
Actual bank deposit$7,816.30
Variance $42.17, explained: PayPal charged this fee once, but the ledger recorded it twice. Your profit was understated by exactly $42.17 — and now you know which line, which order, and why.

Pricing without a treadmill

One flat price. Locked for life.

No GMV tiers, no “contact sales”, no bill that grows because you did. Founding merchants keep this price for as long as they keep the app.

Fair questions

Asked before you had to ask.

Most trackers are analytics tools wearing an accounting costume: they read browser pixels and ad-platform APIs, then model your profit. PennyProfit starts from the opposite end — Shopify's payout and balance-transaction ledger, the record of money actually deposited — and proves the number line by line. If it can't prove a line, it says so instead of estimating.

We reconcile everything visible through Shopify's transaction records, and mark the remainder “unverifiable via Shopify” — honestly — rather than faking a tie-out. Direct gateway connections are on the roadmap. If a tool claims to reconcile PayPal fees it can't see, ask it how.

For every payout, we rebuild the expected deposit from orders, refunds, fees, adjustments and reserves — then compare it to what Shopify actually paid you. Equal: you get a timestamped seal. Not equal: you get an itemized variance naming the exact orders and fees that disagree, like “PayPal fee logged twice on #1043 — $42.17.” Never a mystery gap.

Read-only Shopify scopes: payouts, balance transactions, orders, refunds and product costs. No write access to your store, no card data (we never see card numbers — only fee and settlement records), and GDPR deletion webhooks are honored from day one. Data exists to be shown to you, not sold.

V1: manual entry or CSV import, clearly labelled as merchant-declared. When an import has a gap, the gap is flagged in amber with dates — never silently partial. Silent partial ad data is how other tools quietly overstate profit; we consider that a bug in the industry, not a feature.

Founding merchants install first via direct link before the public App Store listing, get the $29/mo rate locked for life, and get a direct line to the founder — your discrepancy cases literally shape the reconciliation engine. The waitlist below is the only door in.
